One of our areas of expertise is the assessment of learners. Historically, assessment solutions provided were paper based focusing on the direct involvement of qualified assessors.
We are now able to offer an extension to this service by providing access to both summative and formative e-assessment. We can produce e-assessment materials that are to be stand alone or to run through a Moodle VLE. With Moodle the e-assessment is set-up so that it is possible to gain immediate feedback on learner achievement. It is possible to monitor both individual and group assessments to determine competence levels and in particular shortfalls in competence.
Using Moodle as a platform we are also able to provide combined assessment opportunities using social media. In this situation learners are encouraged to provided evidence of competence using blogs and wikis. Assessors can then make judgements on the learners based on both the content and the processes used to develop the content.
e-assessment is ideal when evidence is required to support induction and compliance training. It is easily delivered and provides vital evidence of achievement at the click of a button.
